In more than 30 years Posidonia, which takes place every two years, has continuously grown into a truly international event attended by executives from major enterprises in every region, extending the audience for exhibitors beyond the Greek arena to a truly global marketplace. In 2002 over 1,630 companies from 79 countries presented their products and services in the 23,000 sq metres of exhibition space, visited by over 16,000 buyers from every maritime nation. All gathered on the Piraeus waterfront in what is increasingly the hub of Greek shipping as many Greek owners are relocating the management of their global operations there.
