Just two weeks after the official launch of Inmarsat Fleet 55, Navarino Telecom in co-operation with Inmarsat, presented to the Greek shipping companies, for the first time, this innovative product.  
 
Fleet 55 is the second member of the Inmarsat Fleet family products and is able to offer to vessels, apart from ISDN connectivity, the capability to be permanently on line with the offices ashore, paying only for the amount of data transmitted (MPDS).  
 
The presentation was held at the Metropolitan hotel in Athens; leading companies of the satellite communications business participated at the presentation, including Inmarsat, Thrane & Thrane, Stratos, EMS and Global Technology. During the presentation, the delegates and participants viewed various video clips regarding Inmarsat and its exclusive sponsorship at the FIA World Rally Championship. At the end of the presentation Navarino drew VIP admission tickets for the Acropolis WRC, which will he held between 5-8 June, 2003, one of the most difficult and most interesting rallies worldwide. We have to point out that Inmarsat has organized a series of spectacular events and presentations that will take place during Acropolis WRC, aiming mainly to shipping companies.
