Navarino announced last May that started cooperation with the leading fleet e-management systems provider Purplefinder.
Navarino will provide shipping companies in Greece, Monaco and Switzerland with:
a. Purplefinder Reporter, the most reliable web-based fleet management system, that gives you the opportunity to monitorise through web, the position of your vessels 24h/day, receiving at the same time information about the route such us speed, direction, weather conditions and much more. The only equipment required onboard is an Inmarsat C terminal.
b. Purplefinder Guard that not only enables you to monitorise your vessels and receiving information but also includes the DSAS Ship Security Alert System. DSAS is fully compliant with SOLAS Regulation XI-2/6 that requires vessels to be provided with a ship security alert system. According to this regulation, all the oil tankers, chemical tankers, gas carriers, bulk carriers and cargo high-speed craft, of 500 gross tonnage and upwards constructed before 1st July 2004, must be provided with a ship security alert system before the first survey of radio installation after the 1st July 2004. Other cargo ships of 500 gross tonnage and upwards must be provided with such equipment no later than 01/07/2006. DSAS is the only type approved product of its category.
